The Honda NC700 series introduced a whole new approach to motorcycle design, in fact NC stands for New Concept. A compact, low-revving, long-stroke engine with forward canted cylinders offered not only incredible fuel economy but contributed to a super low center of gravity for light, easy handling. Placing the fuel tank under the seat lowered the center of gravity even further and allowed a large storage area to be placed where the tank and cylinders normally reside. For 2014, these popular features and attributes remain along with ANTILOCKING BRAKES brakes, but a new, 75 cc larger engine has been fitted, producing more power and torque throughout the rev range. Although geared taller to extend the usable range in each gear, the NC750S accelerates harder and reaches a higher top speed than its predecessor. The original engine was praised for its smoothness and strong character, so to ensure these critical elements remain intact, the NC750S includes a 2nd engine balance shaft and a new muffler design.
