VINTAGE YAMAHA YS100 SYNTHESIZER - $200 in Cornwall, Ontario for sale

Here for your consideration is a Yamaha YS100 synthesizer, originally bought in the autumn of 1989. I'm its only owner, and it's always been kept in my clean, smoke-free home.

This is an entry level synth, but it looks, feels, and sounds more like a home keyboard than a fully professional instrument. It's basically a budget version of Yamaha's DX11 synth and TX81Z rack mount module, but the on board programming parameters are extremely limited. You can tweak things like brightness, attack, decay, vibrato speed and such, but that's about it. For deeper programming, you'll need a computer and compatible editing software.

Cosmetically, it's in near perfect condition. The only noticeable issue is that the low C isn't quite flush with the rest of the keys. It does work, though, and in no way does this affect how the rest of the keyboard is played. It also needs its internal battery replaced. The 100 ROM sounds are permanently intact, but a new battery will be needed to keep the 100 user programmable sounds stored in memory. This would be an easy fix for someone who knows their way with electronics. The owner's manual and a new battery will be included with the purchase.
