Community Relations Manager in Cornwall, Ontario

The Hartford Retirement Centre in Morrisburg is looking for a Community Relations Manager: This dual role is an exceptional opportunity for an energetic, motivated leader with experience in sales and marketing and a recreation/activation background. With a proven track record of business development and relationship management this individual will follow-up leads from emails, walk-in traffic and telephone inquiries. Knowledge of the surrounding area and communities is required. The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of one (1) - three (3) years of related experience and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience with seniors and knowledge of associated services would be advantageous. This position requires working full-time flexible hours, which at times will include weekends and evenings, according to the needs of the business. Drawing on their extraordinary customer-service and sales training, the successful candidate's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: Initiating, developing and carrying out marketing plans and programs to ensure sales goals and targets are met and optimal occupancy is achieved; Identify sales prospects and network within the local healthcare and senior community to drive traffic to the home; Evaluating and adjusting the marketing plan as necessary to ensure all marketing initiatives are effective and within budget; Contributing to the development of marketing strategies and preparing advertising campaigns; Conducting tours, managing inquires, and following-up on leads in a timely manner; Promoting our well-appointed, full service retirement residence while developing and fostering partnerships within the community; Planning and managing daily activity programs/entertainment/special events to meet the residents interests and needs; identifying and assessing the residents needs to develop fulfilling activities; encouraging resident participation in programs; creating monthly activity calendars in a timely manner; Developing, implementing and evaluating diversified programs and services to encompass the six dimension of wellness; Tracking the resident's participation in the various programs; Co-ordinating the volunteer program including recruitment, training, supervision and evaluation; Providing support with the process of forecasting and monitoring expenditures of funds allocated to the marketing and activation budgets; Utilizing effective organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet timelines; Assisting and supporting other department managers, as needed.
